The purpose of this book is to
introduce accounting students to the fundamental tools and techniques available
in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software. Completing assignments using Excel
will facilitate students' understanding of accounting concepts. In addition,
students will become more computer savvy with one of the most widely available
and often used software products, Microsoft Excel. This knowledge will
be beneficial both in college and future careers. Applications are
presented that pertain to specific accounting principles topics. Assignments
may be selected from those contained within the book or from others provided
by the instructor.
